Karamihan ng Tao ay Pu!

Reviews - Biofeedback 7"
Mutilated Noise

Now this has been a long time coming. I got these a couple of months ago but this is the first time that I'm actually sitting down and putting one for a spin. This is Biofeedback's 7" from Mutilated Noise titled "Karamihan ng Tao ay Pu". It features 4 songs of blistering hardcore from Laguna's finest. For anyone who's not familiar with the band, this is a good introduction to the once and mighty BFK.

Side A kicks off with their ode to the bottle, Lasenggo Gago, reminding habitual drunkards to kick the habit lest they go do something they would regret. I remember I used to turn the volume up to this song when my pop (SLN) was having one of his drinking sprees with his buddies to piss them off. Wondered if anybody listened though? Parang "gago" lang ung naririnig ng karamihan e.

Then they get into the groove that is Karamihan ng Tao. Let's take a look at some of the words shall we?

Wala nang ibang kailangan sasabihin with those hard-hitting lyrics.

Barney's Revenge is a pretty violent song, talks of having a friend beaten up ( maybe even killed ) and taking revenge in the future. Pretty much confused with this one, maybe an autobiographical song, who knows?

The last song, but definitely ain't the least, is Hardtimes. Nakaktawa/nakakalungkot kasi this song was heard years ago pero it is still pretty much relevant. We're all still living in hard times ain't we? Nothing's really changed.

Yearning for freedom's not a crime but why the fuck should we all live in hard times???

Ang gusto ko sa BFK if you take a look at their songs andaming salita, andaming verses, andaming sinasabi pero hindi pilit with the words flowing through the music effortlessly. Pero the message is still there and the music keeps it all together. This is definitely not your grandma's TRC.

Take control of yourself!

This is a must have, if you don't have their cassette "demo" released ages ago, then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. I still have a few copies left, murang mura at 250Php a pop. Get one now, it just might make your day.
